MINUTES of the meeting of August 18th were approved, subject to the correction that Kate did not attend.
1. MATTERS ARISING
Haugh of Ardoe – Nothing further.
Maryculter Hall – George Masson said matter was with the Hall committee
Steadings at Stripeside – Nothing further
Sign at Ardoe House Hotel – Sign has been removed, also one way system has been partially instigated
Age of Community Councillors – Will be discussed at Community Council Forum.
Web site – Maria Hardie was concerned at the decrease in water voles and increase in Mink sitings this year. Article on Website.
Western Peripheral Route – Philip will write article for South Deeside View and hopefully include a diagram of route.
Roads – Flashing warning lights had installed at Netherley House bridge, Philip will contact Roads dept to find out when they would be operational. Avril felt they were to close to bridge to be effective. Mike said there was an increase in traffic through Banchory-Devenick Crossroads. Kate was concerned about the 60mph speed limit past the School. Philip would write regarding reduced limit.
Blairs Hearing – no further informationon date. Mike asked Sandy if he could ask that we are given 30 days notice of date of meeting.
Composting – said that a representative would like to speak at our next meeting.
2. PLANNING
New School – Outline planning permission granted. The directors of Education and Law & Order would be quizzed by Councillors over choice of site.
“Maryculter Organic Farm”. A block building was being erected can we get more information.
Local Plan – Public Inquiry. Nothing further
3. FINANCE

4. CORRESPONDENCE
Police report: No report but Robert summarised the weekly reports; About 5.30pm on Sunday 31st August, a male occupant of a large black old-fashioned motor car is believed to have tried to break into a house located at the side of the B979 road in Maryculter.
Also, between 9.15am on Sunday 31st August and 8am on Monday 1st September, a house located in the Quoscies area near the unclassified Portlethen to Lairhillock Inn road was broken into and electrical items were stolen.
Robert mentioned that there had been a number of fires in the area , and asked people to be on the lookout for possible fire raisers. An incident recently involving two or more people trying to set fire to gorse etc, had been reported to the police but there had been no follow up.

Stubble Burning – Kate raised the legality of stubble burning. Robert would investigate.
Water Supply – Residents had complained of taste of water – Philip will investigate
